“Employees recruit employees”: one campaign, many benefits

We rely on the expertise of our employees not only when working. Because we know that good employees are hard to find. And who knows better which person is right for a company than the employees of the company themselves?

Our new colleague Olga came to us on the recommendation of our colleague Julia. While Julia has been with ECON TEL for two years, Olga started training last week. We asked the two colleagues why they chose ECON TEL and what meaning our “employees recruit employees” campaign had for them.

1. You started training a few days ago. How do you like it so far?

Totally good! From day one, I felt the warm atmosphere in the team. The interaction is very personal — you are not just a number here, but a person. And that from the outset.

I find the familiarization particularly good. In my previous professional life, I often had to take up positions that I wasn't prepared for at all. It's different here: I was taken straight by the hand and Marcel Duric (trainer & coach, editor's note) Explain everything to me step by step. Overall, the training is kept stimulating and open, so that it constantly stimulates people to think without overwhelming. And that's super important, especially if you've never had any contact with telephone sales before.

2. You came to us via the “Employees Recruit Employees” program. How did this come about?

Julia and I met in daycare, through our children. The two girls got along well and soon wanted to do something together in their free time. That's how Julia and I made contact — which then developed into a friendship.

At some point Julia told me about her job. I found it very exciting! This includes both the job itself and her stories about the company. And one day she asked me if I wouldn't think about changing jobs. I did that and I applied to ECON TEL.

3. Why did you choose ECON TEL? Did the fact that Julia works here matter?

Also, but not only. Before ECON TEL, I worked as a beautician. I liked the job, but I was completely inflexible. My customers often wanted to make appointments in the evenings. Since I am a single parent, it was difficult to implement. I often even had to bring my child to work. It wasn't a permanent solution. When Julia told me that at ECON TEL you can arrange your own working hours and sometimes also work from home, I decided to take the step and think outside the box. And I have to say it's been going great so far!

4. What would you tell people who want to start at ECON TEL?

I haven't been here long, but I feel it's the right decision. I think it's great that I can balance family and work. I would never have thought that this change would be so nice and positive for me and that things could be different in my professional life.

1. How did you come up with the idea of “referring” Olga to us?

Funnily enough, Olga and I have had a similar situation before — only then it was Olga who found me a job in her beauty salon. In addition to my passion for sales at ECON TEL, I was also able to live out my passion for fashion and cosmetics.

It was my turn this time. I found that a job in sales was a very good fit for Olga's personality, because she is empathetic, friendly and goal-oriented. In other words, exactly the person we need here! And, as she said, she was looking for a job that would be more compatible with her family. I've been working at ECON TEL for a long time, so I knew that this is the perfect employer when it comes to flexibility and balancing family and career.

2. Can you please tell me in a few words what benefits the “Recruit Employees” program has for you?

The program is simply a win-win-win situation. Olga is happy to have a good, secure and flexible job, ECON TEL benefits from a new reliable and motivated employee and I have a good friend as a colleague and also a nice bonus. I'm really happy about that.

3. Do you know why you chose our company back then?

Back then, I simply wanted to try something new and was primarily impressed by the open working atmosphere. ECON TEL is now the perfect employer for me. I feel very comfortable here. Flexibility in particular is a very big advantage, because as a single mom, it makes everyday life much easier for me. In addition, all my colleagues and my superiors are friendly and humane.
