Why donating trees makes sense
Everyone is talking about climate protection. No wonder, because a livable world depends decisively on the health of nature. Forest populations are particularly important: trees produce oxygen, bind carbon dioxide, improve soil properties by storing water and are also the ideal habitat for numerous plant, animal and insect species. In order for trees to be able to perform their important tasks, it is important to ensure sufficient forest area.
For this reason, ECON TEL has decided to honor important events in the company in a sustainable way and to campaign for an environment suitable for grandchildren by donating trees as a souvenir. PLANT MY TREE®: sustainable, regional, transparent
Since 2017, the initiative has been leading initial reforestation projects to CO2-Compensation and forest conversion and forest protection projects. The area of operation covers the whole of Germany: For example, the foundation is committed to a sustainably healthy environment exactly where the CO2-Emission takes place. In addition to initial reforestation, the foundation's portfolio also includes forest conversion and forest protection projects.
As part of the initiative, private individuals and companies are committed to leaving a world worth living in for future generations. Thanks to the numerous donors, a wide variety of trees have already been planted, such as beech, oak, birch and conifers.
Donating trees as a keepsake on special occasions
In line with its corporate philosophy, ECON TEL is participating in the reforestation project. The company supports the contribution to an intact environment and donates a tree for every special event, such as an employee anniversary. In recognition of the contribution to the forest project, the recipient receives a personal tree certificate with the location and coordinates of the plant area as well as the tree number so that they can visit it.
